Ayumu Hyodo

About

Ayumu Hyodo studies medicine at the University of Tokyo, where he conducts research on morbilliviruses, including measles virus, while training to become a physician. His work focuses on how SLAMF1, the receptor for measles virus, contributes to determining the host range of morbilliviruses. He is particularly interested in viral evolution and the mechanisms underlying host adaptation. He is currently a visiting researcher in the HIOH Pathogen Evolution Group.
