About

During my studies in biomathematics at the University of Greifswald, I developed a particular interest in combining biological questions with statistical analysis and theoretical modelling. In my bachelor's thesis in 2024, I developed a model that examines the effects of adaptation mechanisms on competitive pressure between organisms under spatially and temporally varying light conditions.

Alongside my master's studies, I am currently working at HIOH on automated metabarcoding pipelines for the bioinformatic evaluation of laboratory data in order to simplify complex evaluation steps and facilitate collaborative work on biological questions. I find the exchange between biological and mathematical perspectives particularly exciting, as well as the challenge of bringing both perspectives together in joint solutions.
