About
After completing my bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Konstanz, I graduated from the master’s program “Animal Biology and Biomedical Sciences” at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover in 2023. During various research projects in Spain, Costa Rica, and Malaysia, I developed a particular interest in One Health-related issues, especially in disease ecology.
Currently, as part of the TICK-SAVE project – a collaboration between the HIOH and the Friedrich-Löffler-Institut (Federal Research Institute for Animal Health) – I investigate the interactions between ecological factors, tick microbiomes and pathogens, and how these shape tick populations and disease risk across different forest and land-use systems.
