Kwaku Baffour Kyei is a Master's student in Molecular Biotechnology at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. His research focuses on DNA-based methods for species identification, and his thesis, "Metabarcoding for Snake Identification," explores the use of environmental DNA (eDNA) and bioinformatic approaches for biodiversity monitoring and potential clinical applications. At the Helmholtz Institute for One Health (HIOH), he contributes to research at the interface of human, animal, and environmental health.
