Anne Mutuo Kimeu

About

Anne Kimeu is a veterinarian and researcher from Kenya. Her work focuses on the genomic analysis of multidrug-resistant bacteria, particularly investigating transmission pathways at the human–animal–environment interface. Previously, she conducted research at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) on antimicrobial resistance in Kenyan rangelands, focusing on the intersection of human, livestock, environment and wildlife health. As a member of Prof. Schaufler’s laboratory, she contributes to research on genomic analysis and surveillance of resistant bacteria. Her research aims to understand transmission pathways of resistant pathogens across interconnected systems and to generate evidence for effective control strategies.
